Signs of a water problem
Is your basement telling you something?
Most basement waterproofing problems in Toronto show up long before you see standing water. Catch these signs early and the fix is usually simpler and less expensive.
-
Damp walls
Walls that feel cold and damp, or show dark patches, are letting moisture through.
-
White chalky residue
A powdery white stain on concrete (efflorescence) means water is moving through the wall.
-
Musty smell
A persistent earthy smell is a sign of moisture and mold risk in the basement.
-
Cracks in the wall
Vertical, diagonal, or hairline cracks can let water in and may widen over time.
-
Water after heavy rain
Puddles or wet floors after a storm usually point to a foundation or drainage problem.
-
Sump pump running constantly
A pump that never stops may mean groundwater is overwhelming an old or failed system.
Seeing any of these? A free inspection tells you exactly where the water is coming in and what it takes to stop it.

Common questions about basement waterproofing in Toronto
How much does basement waterproofing cost in Toronto?
It depends on the work. Interior drainage runs about $8,000–$15,000, a full exterior perimeter about $15,000–$35,000, and crack injection about $450–$1,100 per crack. You get the exact price after a free inspection.
Interior or exterior waterproofing — which do I need?
Interior systems manage water that gets past the walls and are less disruptive. Exterior waterproofing stops water at the wall and is the right call for persistent leaks. We tell you which fits your home after the inspection.
Is there a Toronto rebate for waterproofing work?
Yes. The City of Toronto offers a basement flooding protection subsidy that covers up to 80% of eligible work. See our Toronto rebate page for the current details.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes. We are open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Call (647) 556-2391 any time.
